I can't remember a time in my life where I was not spending time with my father in the kitchen on a daily basis as a child. I have always loved to cook. Initially in life, I assumed "veganism" meant bland, boring and unsatisfying meals. This fact alone kept me away from the lifestyle for quite a while, but the more I learned about the health benefits paired with the horror of the meat and dairy industry, the more I researched. Eventually I learned that vegan meals can be just as tasty and filling as any non-vegan ones I had grown accustomed to cooking my whole life. It was a little hard at first; in the sense that I had to re-teach myself to cook in many ways. I learned to use more seasonings and interesting combinations, rather then adding fat and salt to flavor my dishes. I can't imagine I ate any other way at this point in my life, and I want to share this colorful and cruelty-free lifestyle with anyone who wants to listen and learn.
